Stay in igloo
You might consider staying overnight in an Igloo instead of all those cosy options we gave you in our previous articles.
It is possible to stay at one of the Iglu-Dorf villages in Zermatt, Stockhorn, Kühtai, Gstaad, Davos Klosters, and Zugspitze in Germany, which takes some 3,000 hours to construct each winter.
The igloo village of Igludorf Gstaad is one of six that guests can stay in.
You’ll find igloos suited to every taste, from simple dormitory-style igloos to romantic suites with a hot tub, private toilets, and hot tea right at your bedside. Then, with the help of an expert, you can build your own igloo at those locations.
In case sleeping in a house of snow is too much for you, why not try sleeping in an igloo tent?
Except for Stockhorn, which closes in early March, all of the igloo villages are open from mid-to-late December to early to mid-April.

Staying under the stars
Staying at the GAIA is a very special and unique experience. Gaia is located 50 meters from Capanna Gorda, and it is the ideal place for romance and nature enjoyment.
The construction of the building and the large glass walls provide guests with an unparalleled experience in nature.
Its location on a plateau at 1800 meters offers a unique and spectacular view over the Blenio Valley and the mighty peaks and the Adula glacier. Astronomy scholars worldwide consider this place one of the best places for stargazing.
GAIA is equipped with a double bed with duvets and pillows. A minibar in the summer is available. Gaia has electricity via its solar system at any time. Because of the available heating, it’s an ideal place to visit at any time of the year. It is always open during the opening period of Gorda hut.
Simply Glamping
One more excellent choice of unique experience is staying in a dome on the top of an old aeroplane hangar. Again, you can count on an exceptional overnight experience. Hans & Urlich are two rooftop glamping domes on the top of Hangar 5.
A disused aircraft hangar roof is ideal for glamping. Formerly, Hangar 5 served as a workshop to maintain and repair helicopters, military aircraft, and perhaps space shuttles. Now it serves luxury campers who can enjoy nature all year round.
