Ballet for Everyone
June 11, 2022, Zurich in front of the opera house
On Sechseläutenplatz, a big screen will show a live video of the ballet performance from the Opera House.
There has been a free open-air opera every year up until now, which enthralled opera buffs and novices alike. Nonetheless, in recent years, music fans have enjoyed a spectacular new treat; a ballet performance from the Opera House is broadcast live on a big screen on Sechseläutenplatz.
As early as the afternoon, people arrive at the square with blankets, folding chairs, and picnic baskets to secure the best spots. An enormous screen and powerful loudspeakers transmit live ballet performances from the Opera House to Sechseläutenplatz.
So if you intend to be there, make an early plan to find your best spot and enjoy the music and the great vibe around the event.
Zurich Pride Festival
June 17 – 18, 2022 – Zurich
Zurich welcomes thousands of friends and supporters of the LGBTQ* community each year as part of the multi-day LGBTQ* Festival.
Christopher Street Day has been held annually in Zurich since 1994 to fight against discrimination and to promote the rights of the LGBTQ* community (LGBTQ* stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transsexual, plus all other sexual orientations and gender identities).
Christopher Street Day changed to Zurich Pride Festival after Zurich hosted Europride in 2009.
In June, the festival site at Sechseläutenplatz and Bürkliplatz transforms into a party hotspot. The event welcomes not only members of the LGBTQ* community, but everyone is encouraged to come along and celebrate. Every year, the parade and the concerts on the Kasernenareal are the highlights of the Zurich Pride Festival. One of the most vibrant events in the city. Do not miss it.

The Rolling Stones – SIXTY STONES EUROPE 2022
Bern June 17
If you are a fan of the good old Rolling Stones, you would not want to miss their concert in Bern on June 17 at the Stadion Wankdorf. So, hurry up; a few tickets are still available on the following website. Then, of course, you have to do a deep dive in your pockets, but, you know, those are the rock legends at a certain age, and probably not many concerts left.
And here we are done for today, as there will be a second edition to cover all the rest of the regions and beautiful places around Switzerland.
