Festival Images Vevey

Festival Images Vevey’s eighth edition will take place from 3 to 25 September. The festival presents free indoor and outdoor photography exhibitions and displays every two years, available throughout Vevey.
The Images Vevey biennial aims to foster connections between over 45 artists from over twenty countries. As a result, there is a sense of togetherness and reunion despite the current uncertain international context. The importance and fragility of social and family ties, the joys and sorrows experienced when the individual and collective coexist: These are some topics that the 2022 Festival looks forward to exploring through Together. La vie ensemble.’

Jungfrau Marathon
09.09 – 10.09.2022 Interlaken
A race on Jungfrau Mountain is one of the world’s most beautiful marathons, centred around the Eiger, Mönch, and Jungfrau mountain ranges in the Bernese Oberland region of the Swiss Alps. In 1993, the first Jungfrau Marathon took place. It’s a fun event where more than 3500 participants compete in different levels from more than 30 countries. There are also accompanying happenings for everyone at the time of the duration.

Shepherd’s Festival and Wolli’s birthday

Zermatt is fun at any period of the year, but this event is a bit different.
Zermatt hosts the widely popular Shepherd’s Festival on 11 September. Zermatt’s mascot Wolli has a birthday party, and the most beautiful black-nose sheep are selected apart from festival catering and open-air church services.
The most beautiful black-nose sheep gets prizes at the traditional Shepherd’s Festival in Zen Stecken. It is not only the beautifully coiffured sheep but also the varied festival programme and Wolli’s birthday party that provide outstanding entertainment. The whole family will enjoy this traditional event.
Zurich Opera – Opening Party Season 22/23

One of our favourite events of the year!
There is always excitement, a desire to discover, and great energy associated with the beginning of a new opera season. The Zurich Opera shares this moment with the greater audience and cordially invites everyone to the opening party! Richard Wagner is the focus of this year’s season opener, continuing the Ring des Nibelungen. On the main stage, a public rehearsal of the Valkyrie is on display in addition to the varied daily program for young and old. On this day, this great institution’s employees open the house doors to allow guests to see behind the scenes and into the workshops.

Knabenschiessen – Zurich shooting festival
12.09.2022 Zurich
The festival takes place on the afternoon of the Monday after the second weekend in September. This custom dates back to the 17th century, despite the first festival officially happening in 1889. Boys and girls from the canton of Zürich between 13-17 can participate in the competition. Since 1991, girls’ participation permitted. On the slope of Üetliberg, the shooting range at Albisgütli is used for the competition.
In addition, to the main event, there will be a Funfair, parade, and activities for everyone.
Lugano’s Autumn Festival / Festa d’Autunno Lugano
30.09-02/10.2022 Lugano
The city of Lugano welcomes the magical autumn atmosphere with three days of celebration at the end of the month with the annual Autumn Festival.
There are many options for visitors during those days, like trying the famous gastronomy in the streets of the historic centre and the local restaurants, observing the lively stalls, or shopping in the local shops. Folkloric groups will also liven up the city centre with music, providing unique background music for the whole family. As part of the collaboration with the Lugano Region, free walking tours will be organized to discover Lugano’s architectural and landscape beauty.
