Schloss Schadau is a national protected landmark, built between 1847 and 1852 in the historic Schadau Park, directly at Lake Thun and the Aare River. It was awarded as “Historic Hotel of the Year 2021” by the international council of monuments and sights.
The castle has been completely renovated from 2017 to 2019 and now offers nine unique hotel rooms, a garden terrace with a lake and mountain view, a veranda, a restaurant area in different salons, and banquet facilities in historic rooms for up to 70 guests. All floors and woodwork are still in their original condition. Schadau Park offers more than 165 different trees and is a famous recreation area.
