Europe’s safest places to go on holiday in 2022
The new study conducted by Forbes Avidosr gives us an answer to the question of which are Europe’s safest places to go on holiday in 2022. According to the source, Switzerland is the safest European country to visit this summer.
To determine the safest holiday destinations for 2022, researchers examined measurements such as bathing water quality, health care quality, and theft and homicide rates.
Switzerland rates the safest country to visit this year, with a security rating of 88.3 / 100. Swiss healthcare ranked the highest out of the 29 European countries analyzed in the survey (893/1000 according to the Euro Health Consumer Index), followed by the Netherlands (883) and Denmark (885).
Additionally, the country ranks sixth in terms of best quality bathing waters (obviously in its lakes), with 93% of them being of excellent quality, after Cyprus (100%), Austria and Greece (98%), Malta (97%) and Croatia (96%), based on data from the European Environment Agency.
Measurements of airborne particulate matter less than PM2.5 diameter by IQAir were also used to determine pollution levels. With an average PM2.5 concentration of 10.8, Switzerland has the tenth cleanest air in the world.
Finally, the homicide rate, as measured by Eurostat, is low compared to other nations, at 5.7 per million, or 50 homicides in 2019.
Following Switzerland’s first place are Slovenia, Portugal, Austria and Germany. For more detailed data, please take a look at the table below.
We are curious to see how much this study is going to help the Swiss Tourism and being more visitors to this beautiful mounting and lake country.
