Winter Flight Schedule at Zurich Airport will take effect on Sunday, October 30, 2022. The following are the new travel destinations.
Zurich Airport will begin operating its new winter flight schedule on Sunday, which features exciting new travel destinations. A maiden flight of Ethiopian Airlines between Zurich and Addis Ababa will take place on October 31. Ethiopian operates the new connection three times a week with a stopover in Milan. At 8:30 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the Boeing 787-9 departs toward Addis Ababa’s Bole International Airport. In addition, the Ethiopian capital has excellent connections to the entire continent of Africa.
Cathay Pacific and Swiss are also expanding their connections to the Asian continent. The Asian carrier will resume flights from Zurich to Hong Kong twice a week in December after a two-year break due to the pandemic.
Swiss and Edelweiss
During the winter, two carriers based at the Zurich hub, Swiss and Edelweiss, will expand their flight schedules. Swiss is now heading to Bristol in the southwest of England. An Edelweiss flight connects Cape Verde with Boa Vista weekly. Edelweiss will also operate two rotations to Aqaba (Jordan) starting in February 2023, with a stopover in Amman.
Swiss is also expanding its long-haul offering and increasing the frequencies to Delhi, Mumbai and Bangkok to daily flights in the winter flight schedule. In addition, the offer to Singapore will increase from five to six flights per week.
Continuing with summer goals
Edelweiss Air will fly to Ponta Delgada in the winter along with Swiss: Bologna, Nantes, Sofia, and Vilnius, a continuation from the summer.
Similarly, Croatia Airlines is continuing its flights to Split and Pula.
With Chair Airlines, winter visitors can now travel to Las Palmas and Tenerife for some European warmth.
Easyjet also continues to fly four times a week from Zurich to Lisbon.
Saudia, which arrived in Zurich from Riyadh for the first time in August, will continue its flights throughout the winter.
In April, United Airlines added the Chicago route to its portfolio and will still operate during the winter.
