Hotel Adler, Zurich
The Hotel Adler started operating in the 16th century. Without a doubt, that is one of Zurich’s most beautiful and mesmerising hotels. The hotel retains many of its original features, like wooden and stone decorations and beautifully painted walls in guest rooms with panoramic views of the city. However, the hotel’s beautiful design is not the only tribute to its rich history. Zurich’s oldest gastronomic traditions are still served at Swiss Chuchi Restaurant. The hostel Basel BackPack operates in a renovated old factory in Basel, which has a fascinating history. Authentic antiques complement a vintage-inspired interior. There are artworks, metal cupboards, and posters from the past in each room.
